BEGINNERS COURSE
We offer beginner’s courses for anyone interested in taking up the sport of archery either at competitive level, or as a fun pastime. Each beginner’s courses will take place over three weekly sessions, lasting around 3 hours each. The full cost of a beginner’s course is £75 per person. The minimum age for beginners is 10 years and they must be accompanied by a responsible adult, for the entire course, regardless of whether the parent/guardian is shooting, or not.
Learning to shoot
We are providing two courses in 2025. The first will be March 29th April 5th & April 12th. We are taking bookings for this course now. A £20 deposit is required to secure a reserved place. Details of how to make a booking will be provided by contact with our course organiser - email secretary@blackstagarchers.co.uk Sessions are scheduled to run on Saturday afternoons, but may vary, due to extreme weather conditions. In the case of cancellation, alternative dates will be provided. Our second course will be September 6th, 13th & 20th, but we will not be taking bookings for the second course until later in the year.

Our courses are run by fully qualified Coaches and comply with all current archery safety and safeguarding standards. Our club will supply all the equipment needed for those enrolled on a course. We have enough equipment to suit all sizes and physical strengths. The courses are group sessions, with a maximum of 24 students. There will be one coach per four students, for best individual tuition, though some instruction/demonstrations are initially made to the group as a whole, by the Head Coach. After completion, each student is presented with a certificate of competence and membership of BSA is then normally available. For any further information, please check out the website fully, or email secretary@blackstagarchers.co.uk.
